LT Danyelle Davis

Assistant Professor of Naval Science

Lieutenant Davis was born in California and raised in Newport News, Virginia.  After graduating from Woodside High School in 2008, she attended Clemson University and obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Performing Arts with an Audio Technology concentration in 2011.  In 2013, she enlisted in the Navy as an Electronics Technician, and earned her commission through Officer Candidate School in 2018.

At sea, she served aboard USS COLE (DDG 67) and USS GRAVELY (DDG 107) as an Electronics Technician. She served aboard the USS CORONADO (LCS 4) as the Gunnery Officer and Electronic Warfare Officer. Her last sea duty was on the USS ROOSEVELT (DDG 80) where she served as the Damage Control Assistant and later the Chief Engineer.

For her shore assignment, she is currently assigned to NROTC Houston Consortium.

LT Davis personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), and other personal, unit, and service awards.
